Clear High Impact Acrylic Sheet is a good choice where increased resistance to blows and impact is important. These clear acrylic sheets are seven times more impact resistant than ordinary acrylic and up to 70 times stronger than glass. Ideal for a wide range of applications where increased durability is important for example, screening windows liable to accidental damage.
- Highly impact resistant – more than normal acrylic and glass
- Excellent optical clarity – better than polycarbonate or PETG
- Good protective material
- Better scratch resistance than PETG or polycarbonate
- Strong and durable
- Suitable for edge polishing
- Supplied with protective film on both sides and a saw-cut edge.
- Impact Modified acrylic is produced by adding elastomers to the material before extrusion. These additions make the material more impact-resistant, but also slightly reduce the surface hardness and optical clarity.
As an extremely versatile material, acrylic is one of the most widespread plastics in everyday use. The material is used for arts and crafts, DIY projects, splashbacks, partitions, screens, wall protection, retail displays, signs and so much more.
Tolerance: Extruded acrylic has an industry standard thickness tolerance of +/-5%.
Acrylic can sometimes be referred to as Perspex®, Plexiglas®, Lucite®, Altuglas®, Acrycast® or Policril®. These are simply brand names of acrylic, much like Hoover® is with regards to vacuum cleaners.

Orders with extras such as holes, rounded corners or cut-outs and laser cut shapes and letters will be dispatched within 6 working days. Once dispatched, delivery in the UK will usually take place within 1-2 working days. Should you have an urgent request, please contact us before placing your order.
Delivery leadtimes are subject to stock availability. In the unlikely event we are unable to deliver your order in time, we will contact you immediately, inform you of the delay and offer a revised due date. We will of course issue a full refund should the new due date be unsatisfactory.
