Dichloromethane is an adhesive suitable for edge bonding extruded acrylic. The adhesive works by chemically reacting to the surface of the acrylic allowing two pieces to be fused together. As the solvent evaporates, the surface re-hardens, creating a secure bond. This is an extremely quick process and grabs within seconds. Dichloromethane has a water-like consistency therefore included in the application kit is a syringe and needle to assist you in achieving a professional clear bond. Dichloromethane does not have gap filling properties therefore joints should be close fitting.
We aim to process, cut and dispatch standard orders within 4 working days. Orders with extras such as holes, rounded corners or cut-outs and laser cut shapes and letters will be dispatched within 6 working days. Once dispatched, delivery in the UK will usually take place within 1-2 working days. Should you have an urgent request, please contact us before placing your order.
