Clear polycarbonate sheeting provides superior impact resistance and is not only stronger than acrylic but over 200 times stronger than glass, it is almost unbreakable! The material will not shatter like glass and carries a UK Class 1 Fire Rating making it the material of choice in many public buildings, airports, schools and where safety and security are required.
Clear polycarbonate is popular for window glazing where security is a high priority, due to its high-impact resistance and shatter-resistant properties, this makes clear polycarbonate a superior option for machine guards, rally car windows, vandal-proofing, security screens and wall protection.
Clear polycarbonate sheets can sometimes be referred to as Lexan®, Makrolon® or Palsun®. These are simply brand names of polycarbonate, much like Hoover® is with regards to vacuum cleaners.
Tolerance: Polycarbonate has an industry-standard thickness tolerance of +/-5%.

We aim to process, cut and dispatch standard orders within 4 working days. Orders with extras such as holes, rounded corners or cut-outs and laser cut shapes and letters will be dispatched within 6 working days. Once dispatched, delivery in the UK will usually take place within 1-2 working days. Should you have an urgent request, please contact us before placing your order.
Delivery leadtimes are subject to stock availability. In the unlikely event we are unable to deliver your order in time, we will contact you immediately, inform you of the delay and offer a revised due date. We will of course issue a full refund should the new due date be unsatisfactory.
