At Plastic Online, we stock frosted acrylic in many attractive colours to suit your design requirements. Each sheet has a frosted matt-textured surface on both sides, covered with a protective film. Cast acrylic is generally preferred for laser cutting or complex machining processes.
Frosted acrylic is an extremely versatile material and one of the most widespread plastics for everyday use. The material is lightweight yet strong and boasts an outstanding resistance to ageing and weathering. Frosted Perspex is used as an alternative to glass and for many other applications, including arts and crafts, DIY projects, splashbacks, partitions, screens, wall protection, retail displays, signs, and so much more.
Acrylic can sometimes be referred to as Perspex®, Plexiglas®, Lucite®, Altuglas®, Acrycast®, or Policril®. These are simply brand names of acrylic, much like Hoover® is for vacuum cleaners.
Tolerance: Cast acrylic has an industry standard thickness tolerance of +/-10% + 0.4mm.

We aim to process, cut and dispatch standard orders within 4 working days. Orders with extras such as holes, rounded corners or cut-outs and laser cut shapes and letters will be dispatched within 6 working days. Once dispatched, delivery in the UK will usually take place within 1-2 working days. Should you have an urgent request, please contact us before placing your order.
Delivery leadtimes are subject to stock availability. In the unlikely event we are unable to deliver your order in time, we will contact you immediately, inform you of the delay and offer a revised due date. We will of course issue a full refund should the new due date be unsatisfactory.
