These ash grey custom acrylic shapes are part of the Naturals cast acrylic range. The Naturals cast acrylic range is just like the frosted range, only it is not see-through. A gorgeous choice of neutral tones is available, which will suit many design requirements. Each sheet offers an attractive glossy surface covered with a protective film on both sides. Cast acrylic is generally preferred for laser cutting or complex machining processes.
Acrylic is an extremely versatile material and one of the most widespread plastics for everyday use. It is lightweight yet strong and boasts an outstanding resistance to ageing and weathering. Acrylic shapes are used as an alternative to glass and for many other applications, including arts and crafts, DIY projects, splashbacks, partitions, screens, wall protection, retail displays, signs, and so much more.
It is important to note that although this ash grey acrylic colour is not see-through, it may still allow some light transmission. Should you be fixing the material to a wall, we suggest painting the rear of the material with solvent-free black paint (acrylic paint is ideal) to ensure that any bonding marks and shadows do not show through to the front.
Acrylic shapes can sometimes be referred to as Perspex®, Plexiglas®, Lucite®, Altuglas®, Acrycast®, or Policril®. These are simply brand names for acrylic, much like Hoover® is for vacuum cleaners.
Tolerance: Cast acrylic has an industry standard thickness tolerance of +/-10% + 0.4mm.
